On Monday, July 9th, I left the motel in Socorro, New Mexico to make my east to Carrizozo, then south through Almagordo to the White Sands National Monument. After seeing those intensely white sands, I continued to Roswell, where I had wanted to visit the UFO Museum.

This first group of photos includes heading from Socorro to the White Sands National Monument.
This second group of photos includes the highway from the White Sands National Monument to just before reaching Roswell.
This third group of photos includes the UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell. On the ride from Roswell to Carlsbad, I didn’t feel motivated to take any photos since the scenery was so similar to the areas that I had already photographed.
