On Saturday, July 7th, I left the motel in Flagstaff, Arizona to ride along AZ-89A through Sedona Canyon and Slide Rock State Park, through the cities of Sedona and Cottonwood to the town of Jerome. From there I headed east on AZ-169 to the town of Camp Verde, where I turned off at exit 289 to visit Montezuma’s Castle National Monument. After that stop I rode east on General George Crook Trail, AZ-260 and AZ-87. At CR-3, Lake Mary Road, I turned north towards Mormon Lake and back to Flagstaff, where I took I-40 east to exit 233, Meteor Crater Road.
