Route from Boulder to Lyons, up St. Vrain Canyon, down Left Hand Canyon
Two days after arriving at my friend K.C.’s home in Boulder, we decided to make a day trip from Boulder to the Peak-to-Peak Highway (CO-72) by riding up the St. Vrain Canyon (CO-7) from Lyons. We rode south on CO-72 to Ward where we turned east onto Left Hand Canyon to head back to Boulder, as shown on the adjoining map. The ride was 65 miles and took us just over 1½ hours.
