This morning, June 12th, the weather promised to be gorgeous all day. I had made plans to join Gary and Kevin from Missouri and David from Ohio for a lengthy ride around the area. In all we rode 337 miles in about 10½ hours, including stops. The following map shows our route.
While riding along our route, I followed the other three guys and took several photos. Here is a photo taken just south of Berryville along AR-21. Kevin was leading, followed by Gary and David.
Along the way we stopped for a short break where AR-43 and AR-74 intersect at the Buffalo River. The three guys posed for me to take this photo of them.
Upon reaching the town of Jasper, we parked in front of the Ozark Café, where we had planned to have breakfast. Their omelettes are quite good!
Inside the restaurant there are probably hundreds of framed photos covering the walls.
After breakfast we resumed our excursion. When we reached the bridge over the White River, located near Salesville, just south of Mountain Home, we stopped for a break and to take photos. Here is a panoramic photo towards the north from the bridge.
We returned to Eureka Springs via several secondary roads on the south side of Bull Shoals Lake and Table Rock Lake. After arriving back at the motel around 5:30 CDT, I relaxed for a while before heading to the motel restaurant for dinner.
That concludes my travelogue for Tuesday, June 12th. Since the weather continues to be nice, I went on another ride around the area on Wednesday.
Bye for now.
